New Paths: A Wellness Journey

Sometimes I like to experiment with my food. Most of the time, I drink yummy shakes with lots of good ingredients in them. Other than this, I like making dishes that I will enjoy, but will also fuel my body in a good way. Personally, I can see a big change in my well-being. When I give my body the food it requires, I have much more energy. In addition, my mood is drastically improved and my skin gets clearer. I not only try to eat the right foods but I also try to drink enough water each day. I usually drink at least 2 liters a day and more if I can. By implementing these changes, my body is getting what it requires to maintain a healthy balance. However, sometimes I do not eat the healthiest, which is something I strive to change.


Ever since I was younger, I have always been pretty cautious about my health. When my friends tried to go work out and be active, I would always join them. However, when it came to my body, I did not know that I was not nourishing it properly. I would work out constantly, but it would not do much for me considering I ate unhealthily. These days, I am way more cautious about what I put in my body. That being said, I am not limiting myself; if I want to eat a piece of cake, I will not feel horrible after. This helps my mindset expand, because most of the time I am still helping my body and I will not feel guilty afterwards. You could say that I’ve been on a health journey for a while now. Not only a health journey, but a self-love journey. Subsequently, I have started implementing changes into my everyday routine to try and grow every day.

Mental wellness is also extremely important. To work at this part of my life, every month, I set a goal to read one book to help grow my mind and my business. I have been doing this for about 5 months now. It is evident in how it affects me. I feel clarity in my everyday life. I also feel enthusiastic that I am learning new ideas, and growing my mind. This is something that will help me in life and in business. I read normal books as well, but I also like audio books. It is super easy to listen to, whether I am driving or taking some personal time. The audio books fit into my schedule well, especially if I do not have time to read an actual book. I try to take the time to read hard-copy books too. Recently, I was in a poetry class and the teacher was awesome. He really got us involved and inspired. We had discussions at every class, which helped us widen our perspective on the subject we were talking about by getting other people’s views and opinions. I think that particular class really led me to become more in love with books. A clear change in my mental, physical and emotional state has definitely become apparent over the last couple months.


In the past I have not been the most kind to myself. Nowadays, I try to be positive and remind myself that I’m doing amazing. An important habit for everyone is to think positively about oneself and focus on the good aspects, rather than the bad. I am always trying to better my life and my actions. There is always a reason to be nice to people even when they are not kind. By doing this, I feel good about my actions and myself. There is no reason to be mean to anybody; it is unnecessary to think this way about myself and others. When implementing change, such as my newfound wellness journey, I come up with habits that will impact my life positively.


All my life, I have been a really hard worker. In fact, that is what I am known for. I always have to make sure I have a job, or a source of income. Having this mindset helps me stay on track with myself and my life, to ensure that I am almost never sitting around idly. Usually, I am always busy. Being a student in university, I try to balance my life out. Ideally, I strive to reach this balance so that I can have a job and or a source of income, go to school, and still have a healthy social life. It gets tough at times, as I often do not have as much time for people and myself as I would like, but I manage. I am trying to focus on making time for the people in my life and myself. I have learned that it is important to have some time to yourself. That way, you can feel at peace and or just relax, and take some time away from the stresses of life. For example, I love taking bubble baths. It’s super relaxing after a long stressful day and a great way for anyone to unwind. Recently, I have felt I am in a good place with my life. I always feel that I am growing myself, my life, and future in a positive way. Continuing on this path to a healthy lifestyle will be very rewarding in the future, and I always hope to inspire others along the way.
