Hello Shākāt! I am Bre-anna Beavan. I was born in Whitehorse and I'm 25 years old.
I create first nations art, I've experimented with acrylic on canvas just to try something different. I usually paint the wolf and crow and the eagle so I wanted to paint a bear for something different.
I painted this little Rudolph with big eyes and he kind of looks like a bobblehead and the Owl has big orange eyes and wearing a yin yang necklace.
Currently I'm working on a little Raven plaque. I'm in the sanding stage. I was taught by Calvin Morberg, Duran Henry, Jared Kane, and Wayne Price.
A couple of years ago at the Dákų̀ festival I worked on a traditional Tlingit dugout canoe and I went down the river in the canoe with the carving team at the end of the festival the destination was the Takhini River bridge.
Bre-Annas art can be purchased at the Northern Cultural Expressions Society now located in the Horwoods Mall, Front Street Whitehorse, Yukon.
