My name is Joshua Moses some people call me the “Farm guy” because I've worked on the Tr'ondek Hwech'in farm since the beginning. Nän käk nizhì' tr'ënohshe gha ëtr'ëhoh'ay (On the land we learn to grow our food) I worked there for 5 years 2015-2019. I'm also known as last of the mohicans in Moosehide Village.
I’m Yukon born but raised across central Alberta and Saskatchewan. I came home to the Yukon when I was 15. Raised in Ethel lake for 2 or 3 years with my great grandfather Dave Moses, learning about the way and life on the land. I live in Moosehide Village sometimes, if I am not there you can find me in town or hunting and I do sewing also. I turned a wall tent into a framed cabin, the tent was gifted to me by elder Julia Morberg. I am also learning the Han language.
Its a 40 minute walk from Moosehide to town. I walk to town from Moosehide Village often and last months walk temperatures went from -36 to -49 and ice fog.
I would like my next adventure in life to go live amongst the people of Thailand or Kenya.Tr'ondek Hwech'in Farm Joshua Moses Youth Of Today Society - Celebrating Media Arts Program
