it's a cultural thing.

The importance of words, is far more valuable than one may believe. In a world where culture has been repressed, language is on the brink of extinction in the north. Support for indigenous spoken words and stories can barely be seen anywhere in social media, schools, or in the homes of families with ancestral ties. ShakatClub; a program by youth of today Society is seeking to get community sponsorship to bring back the indigenous spoken word. Funds for the program will assist ShakatClubs with implementing these language exercises through workshops and our online magazine.
